PROFILE

The F30 N55 doesn’t fall far from the tree of its older brother the E90 when it comes to charge piping. Like the E90, the F30 charge pipe is made of plastic, and is susceptible to breaking at the most inopportune times, leaving you stranded or at the very least driving home in limp mode.

The OEM N55 charge pipe on the F30 is known to crack even on stock boost levels, but it becomes even much more of a risk on tuned cars. To remove this weak point on your F30 N55 we’ve built a charge pipe to handle the most demanding builds.

CONSTRUCTION

The ARM motorsports F30 335i charge pipe is constructed of mandrel bent T6061 aluminum for smooth transitions and minimal weld points. The throttle body and intercooler connections are CNC machined to ensure a precise and reliable seal. These connections ensure that all of the boost your turbo is making reaches the engine.

The ARM F30 N55 charge pipe begins with a 3″ diameter at the throttle body, which then reduces to a 2.5″ diameter to match up perfectly with either the OEM intercooler, the ARM F30 FMIC, or any other intercooler upgrade that connects to the stock charge pipe.

The ARM F30 N55 Charge Pipe comes with a CNC machined MAP sensor flange for easy reinstallation of the OEM MAP sensor. Built into the ARM F30 Charge Pipe is an 1/8″ NPT port for methanol/nitrous hook up, boost tap, or smoke testing.

The ARM F30 N55 Charge Pipes comes with a connection for the transmission vent port for AT cars, on MT models this port is capped off with the included cap and clamp.

Combine the ARM F30 N55 Charge Pipe with the ARM N55 Turbo Outlet Pipe to completely upgrade the charge-air piping on your F30 N55.

APR is pleased to present the ultimate boost hose upgrade for MQB platform vehicles with the 1.8T and 2.0T engines! The APR Boost Hose System is a comprehensive, direct replacement upgrade, to the factory rubber hoses found in the charge piping system. The system includes a multitude of enhancements designed for maximum performance, longevity and insurance against power robbing boost leaks. The system is sold both as a complete kit, and individually, and is fully compatible with the OEM and upgraded APR Intercooler system, OEM throttle body and all OEM turbochargers. This system includes the turbo outlet hose. APR’s Engineers took a multi-step approach to optimizing the hoses to minimize boost leaks, reduce turbulence and other performance degradations. Four-ply silicone was utilized as it provides the thickness and strength characteristics necessary to support boost levels far beyond the engine’s capabilities. A Fluorosilicone internal lining was added to ensure the hoses do not rapidly deteriorate over time when exposed to oil and gasoline from the PCV and EVAP systems. The included stainless-steel Clampco T-bolt clamps prevent the hoses from coming loose under heavy pressure and under high temperatures, silicone adheres to its mating surface, further minimizing leaks and hose slippage. APR’s EZ-Flow stepped design creates a smooth airflow path, reducing turbulence over non-stepped designs. Finally, silicone provides better heat resistance over rubber, extending the life of the product and ultimately minimizing failure. The result is hose solution that directly replaces the factory rubber hoses and maintains performance under extreme conditions!

The APR Charge Pipe System is a comprehensive, direct replacement upgrade, to the factory system. The factory plastic and rubber turbo outlet pipe is a small and restrictive 38mm pipe that has shown to melt, deform, and cause boost leaks under extreme conditions. The APR System remedies this by upgrading the system to a larger 60mm aluminum pipe, along with a new multi-ply fluorosilicone coated turbocharger outlet hose. APR EZ-Flow stepped lip hoses provide a smooth transition from hose to pipe, and the included T-bolt clamps ensure a strong and leak-resistant seal at the pipe. All brackets are TIG-welded for a strong and precise fit, and the pipe is coated black. A protruding lip at the edge of the pipe helps prevent hose slippage. This pipe is a direct fit to the OEM turbocharger and the APR or OEM intercooler hose. APR Recommends upgrading the intercooler hoses as well for maximum performance and reliability. We upgrade the factory plastic with a strong 60mm aluminum pipe. Due to the thin-walled nature of metal vs plastic, we’re able to increase the internal diameter of the pipe to maximize airflow. The MAP sensor mounting point is made from CNC-machined billet-aluminum. All brackets are TIG-welded for a strong and precise fit, and the pipe is coated black. A protruding lip at the edge of the pipe helps prevent hose slippage. This pipe is a direct fit to the APR or OEM throttle body hose, as well as the APR or OEM intercooler hose. APR recommends upgrading the throttle body and intercooler hoses as well for maximum performance and reliability.

Increase throttle response and decreases turbo lag with the VRSF chargepipe for your 135i, 335i & 335is. Our aluminum chargepipe features a CNC billet aluminum OEM throttle body flange and is finished in powder-coated black. The VRSF chargepipe retains the OEM c-clip in order to provide a better seal over a conventional clamp/coupler design. We also offer the chargepipe with a Tial or HKS bov flange as well as a N55 setup. Two plugged 1/8″ NPT bungs are included for those who are currently using water injection or interested in using water injection in the future.

Our chargepipes include 2 plugged 1/8″ NPT bungs, caps to cover your intake re-circulation ports and the couplers and clamps necessary for installation. A replacement c-clip and o-ring are also available in case your OEM c-clip is lost, damaged or worn.

Every VRSF Charge Pipe is constructed from mandrel bent, T6061 grade aluminum including the flanges.
